Lake Mungo was an interesting movie. But I’ll be honest – I had a hard time thinking about writing this. I couldn’t decide how I wanted to classify this movie. It’s a horror/thriller/mystery/ghost story disguised as a documentary.
The other night I was looking for something to watch and I came across The Raven with Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. What a great movie! This isn’t Edgar Allen Poe’s Raven. It’s completely different. I’m ashamed to admit that I had never seen it before. (Please don’t yell at me). So I got myself comfortable and hit play. I can’t believe that I’ve missed this one.
Can a movie be cursed? There are a bunch of movies that have had horrible accidents on set, and unfortunate deaths after filming. In reality, accidents do happen, and people die every day. However – There have been a bunch of horror movies that are considered “cursed”. And some of the things that happened have been pretty creepy.
Most likely you’ve rewatched all the Halloween movies and are impatiently waiting for Halloween Kills. Soon my friends, soon. In the meantime – don’t forget to add Trick ‘r Treat to your list of Halloween movies to rewatch! It’s definitely not scary, but it’s a good time.
Who’s ready for Halloween Kills? Get those hands up people! We’ve all waited a very long time for this movie. I’ve been reading the reviews for Halloween Kills, and there seems to be some confusion. Normally I don’t pay too much attention to the critics, but this calls for an intervention:
Let me start by saying that I have never seen a Belgian horror movie (sorry Belgium!). I have, however, seen a lot of lists about them. A LOT of lists! Although Belgium is not really known for its horror movies, they have apparently produced some pretty good ones. For the most part, they seem to be dark, bloody, have a bit of humor, and plenty of sex- what’s not to like?
