The Mayday Hills Hospital, f/k/a Beechworth Lunatic Asylum, is considered one of the most haunted places in Australia. It was once one of the largest insane asylums in Australia.
Brothers John and Tracy Drake came from a hotel family. So it was no surprise to anyone that they built a hotel as magnificent as Chicago’s Drake Hotel. It was located right between a residential area and a commercial area. The Drake opened in 1920 and quickly became one of Chicago’s hot spots.

Scooby-Doo – Where are you??? The Lake Shawnee Abandoned Amusement Park in Rock, West Virginia is right out of an episode of Scooby-Doo…if there were dead kids in cartoons, that is. It has a violent history that goes all the way back to the 1700s. And fun fact – it’s built on an ancient Native American burial ground!
